Overview

Diety Dinner Planner ("Diety", "we", "our") is a meal planning app developed by Hashing LLC. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data Diety collects and how it is used.

Data We Collect

Diety does not sell or track personal data. Most app data stays on your device. Optional cloud-powered ingredient detection only runs when you choose to use it.

• Dietary preferences and allergens — stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Never transmitted off-device.
• Meal plans and shopping lists — generated and stored entirely on your device.
• Pantry items — stored locally. Standard photo text scanning is processed on-device using Apple Vision.
• Recipe data — fetched from our recipe database (hosted on Supabase). These requests are anonymous and do not include any user-identifiable information.
• Optional AI ingredient detection — if you run AI Vision or voice ingredient detection, the selected photo or voice transcript is sent to Diety's ingredient detection service for extraction.

Camera and Photo Library

Diety requests access to your camera and photo library solely for adding pantry ingredients. On-device scanning uses Apple's Vision framework. Optional AI Vision may send the selected image to Diety's ingredient detection service only after you choose that action.

Analytics

Diety does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not collect usage data, crash reports, or device identifiers.

Third-Party Services

Diety communicates with our recipe database (Supabase) to fetch recipe content. These requests contain no personal information — only anonymous read queries for recipe data. Optional AI ingredient detection also uses a Supabase-hosted function to process the selected image or voice transcript.

Data Sharing

We do not sell user data and we do not share user data for advertising or tracking. When you intentionally use optional AI ingredient detection, the selected image, audio, transcript, or ingredient text may be processed by Diety's service providers only to return ingredient results for that request.

Children's Privacy

Diety does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation or collect any personal information.

Data Retention

All user data is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes all associated data. We retain no data on any server.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
